Poetry, Language Of The Soul {P.L.O.T.S.}~The Creatives Magazine

Was created, without Maxwanette even seeing, exactly where it was going. It came from the heart, with eyes that saw a need to shine a light on talent & creativity, that normally is ignored, unheard of, unseen, forgotten, and already shining. It is a place where there is no ranking or awards to place on the mantle. Instead, it is a forum for Unity, Love, Positivity, Encouragement, Support, Guidance, Creativity, Arts, Roots, Culture, & Humanity…

I decided that it would simply make more sense to make a firm stamp, on the life of Poetry; Creatives, Entrepreneurs, Arts, Roots, Culture, Life & Humanity. It’s often said, that “Poets is Life’s subconscious.” Least we not forget, that Humanity and Souls…WE ARE LIFE. We are a PHENOMENAL array of talent and creativity. So, providing an ongoing magazine to showcase, share, teach, and inspire is key to existence.

I look forward to the implementation of the fundamental and foundational legacy, that so many are a part of. To quote one of my favorite Jamaican Dub Poets, *“UP – UP – UP!!”by Oku Onuora. A part of our goal is to leave a magnanimous-sized footprint and path, as we connect the Universe. We can change, we are change, we can fix ourselves, each other, and live happier & joyous lives. These? These have always been my P.L.O.T.S. Lol! It’s my reason for even existing

We Simply Wanted To Say…

Picture Originated From Wayfair

Firstly, we would like to welcome you and thank you for viewing, visiting, and or participating in {P.L.O.T.S.}~The Creatives Magazine (site/blog). We exist simply to shine a light on Creatives all over the globe.

We noticed that typical magazines are often geared toward one thing, talent or skill. However, as a Creative, skills are usually in a variety of areas. So for example, we may have a Poet that is also an artist, singer, builder, cook, entrepreneur, etc. Just like people who are athletic & play sports. They may be a great football player, but also excellent at basketball. We like to show the talented prism within the Creatives. We also take great honor and joy in showing the talent that usually is unseen or unheard of, as well as acknowledging those that paved and or paving the way.

We try to give our Creatives a forum in which to shine, outside of their normal range, capacity, & vision. The beauty of this magazine is that it allows pictures, narratives, videos, links, and a variety of ways for Creatives to show & share their creativity.

We ask for
and encourage liking, sharing, and commenting – as it makes everyone showcased here more seen & known. This type of exposure is helpful for Creatives. We also encourage connecting, networking, and assisting each other. This is not a forum of competition or favoritism. We also discriminate against plagiarism & negativity. We are encouragers of Unity & Oneity.

If you would like to be shown here, simply send us an email (maxapoetess@yahoo.com), including your works and or links. Story Of This Poetess

“The Unlimited Mind” by Hyacinth W. Moncrieffe, “Poetry, Language Of The Soul, Vol. I.”, & “The Poetic Storm, Vol. II., by Maxwanette A Poetess

Hyacinth W. Moncrieffe was the first poet in Maxwanette’s life. She was also her mother. She wrote her first and only self-published book, “The Unlimited Mind”, in 1983. Maxwanette happily & reminiscently stated, “Mommy is my main inspiration. She said that the human brain/mind has no limits. She told me to never stop asking questions, never stop seeking knowledge, and never stop writing.”

So, Maxwanette, What Is The Purpose Of Your Page, The Magazine & Other Social Media Outlets?

“The purpose of my pages and magazine – to simply reach out to others. To let people know that there’s more to life than only living and going about our daily lives, as if others cease to exist. To remind myself & others, that we don’t have to suffer in life if we all try to remember what love really is and work together. If we try walking in each other’s shoes, maybe, just maybe, we might have more overstanding & compassion. Humanity must take care of itself & life on a whole. We Must Do This TOGETHER. A part of P.L.O.T.S.’s main function is to remind people of that & even to remind myself at times. I built a Creatives Bridge, lol! I am seeking those that share my ideas (like-minders). Bringing the world together, one step, and one Creative at a time, and hopefully, making it a better place. This has been the catalyst and the dual meaning to the acronym of P.L.O.T.S.~Maxwanette A Poetess

“Yin & Yang Symbol”

Maxwanette, How Do You View Life?

“I’ve had more than enough negativity in my life. I also have had many beautiful experiences. We all make mistakes, and we all have fears. But change & growth produces so much.” I simply feel that to achieve a more even balance in this existence, more positivity will only level the playing field, lol!

What Does This Even Mean???…

“Namaste & One Love”💖💛💚

Well, “Namaste & One Love” is a term I simply adore & relate to. In Layman’s Terminology, Namaste means: “the love within me recognizes and reflects the love you have within you.”

One Love means: “Love for The Most High, Self, Others, & Life Overall (my own overstanding/translation). It’s a combination of Hindu & Jamaican and it works for me, lol! I use this phrase more often than not. I feel that the world couldn’t hurt from a reminder of what that is. As well as I need a reminder myself from time to time.” ~Maxwanette A Poetess

Okay, So What About The 3 Hearts (Red, Gold, & Green) That Seem To Pop Up All The Time On Your Pages & Posts???

Red, Gold, & Green – 💖💛💚

“The 3 Hearts, represent a vital connection. Being of Jamaican ancestry, and growing up around many Rastas (Rastafarians), gave me exposure to these colors. They originate from Africa and flow through the Caribbean and other places around the world. Many recognize them & relate them to Bob Marley. I am not a Rasta per say, but I do have some Rasta-like ways. Colors are one of the bold ways in which Jamaicans express themselves, along with clothing and music. Each colored heart holds a meaning;

❤️ – The Blood That Runs Through Our Veins – Strength, Power, The Bond, 💛 – The Sun, As It’s Needed To Thrive & A Part of Who We Are (Children of the Sun), & 💚 – The Earth – Home, Growth & Sustaining of Life.

From my view, these are needed and important to everything that encompasses Humanity, Life, Existence & Love.

“Bob Marley (Robert Nesta Marley) was my Secret Mentor. Being of Jamaican descent, I was exposed to his music at every turn, except at home. I’d sneak to listen to his musically laced messages. My mother simply didn’t allow “his” type of music, to be played in her home. I was raised to believe, that Rastas (Rastafarians) were thieves, murderers, and lazy criminals when I was growing up. Funny how that never rang true in my ears or thinking. You know, when in your gut, your Soul, you know, hmmm…there’s more to this story. So, I made it my business to know what Rasta is all about. Since I loved music, especially Reggae, I listened to Bob Marley CONSTANTLY & CONSISTENTLY. His lyrics, di riddim, and di vibes…Dem Level. It brought a level of Truth & Consciousness to my young developing mind. Never was I aware, that it would continue carrying me through this existence…Before my Mom died of breast cancer, in 2008, in her honor, and love for me and who I had become as a human being, she requested that I locs-up her hair before she died. Yeah, life is a beautiful thing. Because every day that you get? Is a chance to make it a better day, do better things, be a better person…Change life. Bob will live forever, mon. im’ timeless iyah. One~Love.” ~Maxwanette A Poetess

Crafted By The Same Author of, “Poetry, Language Of The Soul, Vol. I.”

The Poetic Storm, Volume II., is a creation, derived from it’s original and first counterpart, “Poetry, Language Of The Soul, Volume I.” These books have become the Yin & Yang of this awesomely expressive poet, Maxwanette A Poetess. It gives an eyeful, to the other side of this poet’s mind and experiences. This book is an open, stark, and blatant story of life’s occurrences. Not only can one relate to the poetry encased within it’s flaps & covers, it forces the reader to face things, just as they are. It’s indeed a reflective reality check.

What Is Maxwanette’s Most Memorable Poetic Moment Thus Far?

“My most memorable poetic moment thus far? Well, I thought it would be when I published my books. But it came after meeting a group of Dub Poets on Facebook. I have turned into a sort of a recluse over the years, lol! But this group of people is AMAZING! They slowly are pulling me out of my shell, which isn’t always easy nor fun, lol! But when I started to get such encouragement and support from this group of human beings, they shined a light on me, and got me to see, that I was glowing all the time, lol! That’s a treasure & a gift that keeps on giving. Coupled with being on “The Real Stuff Podcast,” of the online radio station, Reggaenostalgia. Working with such an amazing group of people, and being given such a prestigious opportunity to meet legends in the entertainment industry, is a pretty decent position to be in.

    1. Hi Megha! You’re very welcome. Seeing how my Mother was a Published Poet, it wasn’t that difficult. Also being able to read at a high level at an early age helped. Not to leave out, how adamant my Mother was about reading & writing. In school this became a great advantage for me. I thank you for your praise, but I owe it all to Mom.
