A few may not be with us in the physical anymore, but those that are here…That would be a DYNAMIC show, with lifetime memories & effects. What a turnout that would be! As they say in Jamaica, “It’s never too late for a shower of rain,” basically, it could happen! 🤩 These are some of the foundational Creatives that not only put in the work, they paved the way and are the catalyst, to Dub Poetry, Spoken Word, and Poetry on a whole in Jamaica. Once heard & experienced?…Things are simply not the same again. And that? That’s a good thing. I’m strongly for paying accolades, giving credit where due, and honoring those that came before us, while they’re alive. The sacrifices & contributions by these Creative Veterans, impregnated The World of Poetry, and gave birth to a new generation of wordsmiths, that leave no stone unturned. Their works, are TIMELESS.
