Amina Hrnčić was born in 1995 in Bosnia and Herzegovina. She finished elementary, music school and high school in Maglaj. She graduated from the Faculty of Pharmacy, University of Sarajevo and obtained the title of Master of Pharmacy.
She has published two collections of poetry, “The Road to Agape” and “Octave”, as the winner of the 1st prize 51. Youth Poetry Festival, Vrbas, and the 1st prize for the best first book of Literary Youth Valjevo. The Youth Poetry Festival is the former Yugoslav Youth Poetry Festival, with a tradition of 53 years.

The book “The Road to Agape” was shortlisted among the first 10 books for the Anka Topic Literary Award, which is awarded for the best first book of poetry by authors from Bosnia and Herzegovina in the period of six years, from 2014 to 2021.
As one of the winners of the competition “Time (without) utopia”, Faculty of Philosophy in Banja Luka, her poetry has been translated into German, published in the Austrian journal Lichtungen, as part of which it was promoted in Berlin, Graz and Podgorica. Her translated poems have been published in French and promoted at the Department of Slavic Studies at the Sorbonne University in 2021, in a joint book of young authors from the former Yugoslavia. She participated in the workshops Creative Writing – The Road to Social Change at the PEN Center supported by the French Institute in Bosnia and Herzegovina, as part of which her poetry was also translated and published at in French.

The Gostivar Literary Festival translated her poetry and published it in Macedonian, and the festival Castello di Duino published her poetry in Italian.
She is represented in forty joint collections and anthologies in the countries of the Western Balkan region, and in several literary magazines.
She is a three-time finalist of the Youth Poetry Festival, a finalist of Ratković’s Poetry Evenings and Bulka Children’s Poetry Festival. She was shortlisted for the Slovo Gorčina award.

She is the winner of several other literary awards in the region. Thus, she is the winner of the literary award “Milan Dunđerski”, literary award “Milorad Petrović Seljančica”, special award of the Lazarevac Literary Festival, second award of the 49th Youth Poetry Festival and second Award of the 29th Pannonian Seagull Poetry Festival, Subotica.
